Software pricing has quietly become one of the biggest recurring costs for small teams — and most of it pays for capabilities nobody uses.

The question that matters is rarely “what is the best CRM?” It is: “I use this tool, I need these three things it does — what is the cheapest product that can replace it?” That is the only question this site answers.

We research official pricing pages, map products onto a shared list of switching-relevant capabilities, and compute — never hand-pick — which cheaper products genuinely qualify as replacements. Every claim carries its comparison scenario, its source, and the date we last verified it.

We do not claim cheaper is better. We claim you should know exactly what going cheaper would cost you — and what it would save.

Who's behind it

CheapestAlternative is built by We Do Dev Work Co., Ltd., a small software company in Bangkok run by Vincent, its founder. It started the unglamorous way: reviewing the company's own software bills and realizing how much of the monthly total paid for tools where a cheaper product covered everything actually being used — and how much work it was to prove that, price page by price page.

So we built the tool we wanted: sourced prices with verification dates, capabilities mapped so “can it replace X?” is computable, and a hard rule that money from vendors can never change a ranking. We use several of the cheaper alternatives listed on this site ourselves — including the tool that monitors this site's uptime.
